Warning! My 2013 Goals

WARNING: There is absolutely nothing interesting in this post.  If that is what you are looking for (and you probably are), skip on past this one.  xo. Olivia

Blogging Goals

I didn't make any blogging goals for 2012, only conscious efforts on my part.  Those efforts pretty much fell apart when I started the fall semester.  However, to keep that from happening again, I have made some goals for 2013.

This year I intend to plan ahead more.  Especially during these next two weeks before classes start.  My goal is to work hard at writing a pile of reviews that I will post when I start the Spring semester.  Another goal is commenting! I must get better at commenting on all the lovely posts that are on my feed.  Lastly, BEA. I had a blast this past summer at BEA, and I really hope that I am able to attend again this year.

Challenge Goals

Last year I set two goals for myself: the Goodreads Challenge (which I set at 50 books) and The Debut Author Challenge (read and review 12 debuts).  I completed my Goodreads Challenge, with sixty-one books. However, I am a little behind with The Debut Author Challenge at eight out of twelve.  I have read well over twelve debuts, but now I must write reviews for at least four of them.

Since school now takes up so much of my time, and a lot is going on in my personal life, I am not going to set many goals this year.  My Goodreads Challenge for 2013 is 45 books. Forty-five seems like nothing compared to a lot of the goals out there, but I decided to set a number that is realistic in a goal-ish way for myself.  I've also decided to participate in The Debut Author Challenge (again) and The Sophomore Reading Challenge (for the first time).  Since I am awful at keeping track of my goals, and because the best way to stay on track is to release them out into The Universe, that is what I am going to do :)

Goodreads Challenge = 45 books
The Debut Author Challenge 2013 = 12 debuts (read and review)
The Sophomore Reading Challenge 2013 = 10 sophomores (read and review)

  1. Too funny I wasn't bored! Happy New Year

  2. I admire the fact that you're balancing real life and reading and blogging. It's no easy feat, and any of us book bloggers who manage it are definitely awesome. Good luck with your 2013 goals and happy new year!

  3. I should set goals for myself with the blog - I think it would help keep me better organized. Right now I just sort of fly by the seat of my pants, and while that works okay for me, I think I'd like having a few things lined up that I'd like to achieve. Good luck with your challenges Olivia!

    Also, I wasn't bored either:)

Thank you for leaving a comment! I read and appreciate each one.
